“Art in the Open” Plein Air Festival in Wexford Ireland is an International Plein Air Festival which is in its 12th year. I took part in this festival last July and have registered to do it again this July/August. It was a wonderful experience. While painting in the studio is wonderful and so so relaxing there is NOTHING quite like painting in the outdoors. Changing weather (especially in Ireland), changing light, people coming up to you and looking at your paint and at your work. Daunting…..but so so enjoyable. I would recommend to anyone to get out there in the open and PAINT PAINT PAINT!
